MANILA, Philippines — The “Poging Driver” App toktok continues to break records as it bags the Best Fast Growing Delivery Courier Franchise Business-National Awards.
The recognition is conferred by the Philippines Best Companies.Com Inc., Sinag News Magazine, Sining at Gabay ng Buhay (SINAG) Foundation Inc., National Data Research Examiner, and Marketing Services (NADREMS) Inc.
The Golden Globe Annual Awards for Business Excellence (GGAABE) is a recognition that searches for companies and brands that exhibit innovative business practices and deliver quality products and services.
The winners are companies that epitomize customer concern and engagement, exemplify a reputable and ethical business image, display excellent value proposition and pricing, and serve truthfulness in business management.
CEO and President Jonathan So is delighted with the company’s new accolade. “We created toktok during the pandemic to help our fellowmen earn despite the economic crisis. This award is a testament to the beneficial result of the app to our franchisee.”
Toktok’s CFO and Vice President, Carl Macadangdang, is one happy programmer and investor. “Yes, to all bravest dreamers! “We are trying to develop more apps and features so that toktok is not just a delivery app, an online mall; we are visioning a SuperApp similar to that of Tencent’s WeChat and Ant Group’s Alipay in China and Paytm in India. We want to be the first Filipino company to evolve like that,’ Macadangdang said.
A newbie in the delivery service industry with only a year of experience, toktok has become a household name. With its aggressive marketing approach, it is no surprise it easily won the Golden Globe Awards for Business Excellence and Achievers’ Best Fast Growing Delivery Courier Franchise Business for 2021.
Toktok, founded by young tycoons Jonathan So and Carlito Macadangdang, has provided a business opportunity for our kababayan through its franchising program.
Cloud Panda Ph, an IT Company Solution composed of 100% Filipino developers, created the toktok super app during the pandemic. Both computer programmers, So and Macadangdang, personally supervised and shared their expertise in developing the app.
It was launched on December 8, 2020, in Metro Manila, and after three months, it was available nationwide.
Starting with 100 riders, it grew to 20,000 in 3 months.
It was initially developed to help their other businesses of So and Macadangdang (Siomai King, Coppermask, Boy Bondat, and JC) bridge the gap in their logistic problems. Lately, it has been catering to a larger market and eventually opened nationwide.
Last April, it started its partnership with SM Malls and eventually with Robinson’s Malls and now Mega Q Mart for its Pabili Service. It also added four-wheel delivery service, including sedans, vans, and trucks.
In 8 months, toktok was able to reach its 1 million downloads.
Currently, toktok is penetrating the fintech industry as it launches toktokwallet – their newest service, which allows you to transact payments digitally. Last November, they also started their campaign for the merchants of toktokfood, which will also launch this February.
Golden Globe Annual Awards for Business Excellence and Filipino Achiever has set the bar for excellence in industry practice; they recognize and pay tribute to companies and people that bring honor and pride to our country.
Grateful for this recognition, toktok aims to innovate and adapt to be of service to our fellow Filipinos, especially during this age of technology. The current situation led to everything being fast-paced and digital, making things convenient and safe for us.
