Supercell finally reveals what the mystery boat is for. The recent Clash of Clans update takes gamers to a whole new Builder Base with new buildings and troops. Oh and yes, a whole new battle mode called the versus battle that allows gamers to do a head to head battle with the enemy. Read on to know more about how you can start and some strategies and tips on how you can go about this new adventure.

On May 4, Supercell dropped a mysterious broken boat that came with the update which made fans ramble about it on social media. Numerous theories were in place as to what the boat was for saying it could lead to another village. Days after, another teaser titled “New Friends” came out which made gamers speculate that indeed the boat will somehow take them to another world across the sea. Here’s what you should know about the new Clash of Clans update.

For starters, the mysterious boat has been repaired and is ready to set sail. On Monday, Supercell posted a video of the update on Twitter with the caption, “The update is live! Welcome to the new Builder Base, Chief!” Finally, the answer everyone’s been waiting for has been answered. The boat does lead to a new “village.” Here are some of the things that could help you start your new adventure as advised by Chief Judo Sloth on Reddit.

1. New Builder Base is different from Home Village. In the forum, Judo Sloth says one of the notable difference is the Builder base is based around the versus battle. Most resources will come from battling and these resources will be used to upgrade troops/base.

2. Win Bonus vs. Star Bonus. In the new Builder Base, resources gained from battling will be a “Win Bonus.” A “2x Win Bonus” can be gained once per day. You can only win three matches in a day after that battles will only be for practice or to increase trophies. The Win Bonus is similar to the Star Bonus such that if you miss a day it rolls over and you can have 2 win bonus ready.

3. You have to build everything. Judo Sloth says unlike the Home Village, one cannot upgrade to the next Builder Hall if you haven’t built all offensive and defensive buildings.

4. Switch Troops! If a gamer has two army camps, one has the ability to scout the base before attacking. Within this one minute, a gamer can switch army freely to anything in order to customize composition.

5. Special abilities instead of spells. One has to upgrade troops in order to reveal special abilities. These are similar to the baby Dragon in home village that received rage bonus.

6. Unlock Battle Machine and Gain access to Hero Ability. Once Batlle Machine or Builder Base Hero is unlocked and reaches level 5, you get hero ability!

7. Tips on Attacking. The one minute window to scout enemy’s base is the leverage each player has. The higher trophy you have, the more resources you have. The more resources you have, the more troops you can unlock. These troops can be customized and can be swapped while you are in an attack. This strategy is the key to winning a battle.

The versus mode on the new Builder Base of Clash of Clans is definitely the biggest update Supercell has dropped so far. This just leaves gamers in the dark as to what else can come after this epic change.
