Foodies are raving about Aldi's samosa maker that assists home chefs in creating restaurant-quality snacks in a matter of minutes.

The $39.99 gadget can make up to 24 samosas in one hit and features automatic temperature controls and a non-stick surface for no fuss cooking and easy cleaning.

Shoppers were quick to snap the popular appliance online but there may still be some available in stores if you're lucky.

One Aussie dad took to Facebook to show off the samosas he made with the handy gadget, calling them a 'big hit' with his wife and four kids.

He pressed a homemade mixture of potatoes, peas, onion, chili, herbs and spices between two sheets of puff pastry in the samosa maker to create the perfect after-school snack for his family.

Dozens of users were impressed with the man's efforts which he said tasted just like samosas you'd get a restaurant.

"Was on the fence whether to buy one or not. Now have to make a trip to Aldi and see," one woman said.

Back in 2019, a creative chef took to Facebook to share how she used the gadget to make simple, delicious vanilla cakes.

A creative chef has made vanilla cakes in just six minutes by using Aldi's samosa maker

She made the baked goods using White Mill's vanilla cake mix, margarine, white sugar and cinnamon mix.

She followed the usual instructions on making the vanilla cake batter, before pouring the contents evenly into the samosa maker.

After six minutes, she dipped each triangle into melted margarine, before covering the cake with sugar and cinnamon.
